If you have realistic expectations and a good understanding of the limitations of medicine and technology; if you know that the surgery results might differ based on the body characteristics of each patient; if you have a strong self-image and a good reason for pursuing a plastic surgery procedure; if you want to improve a physical trait not people’s perception of you; and if you realize that plastic surgery is not a means to gain popularity or a way to overcome life traumas or crises that had a negative psychological impact; then you are eligible.

While insurance may partially or fully cover reconstructive surgery, it does not cover cosmetic surgery.

The level of pain and discomfort involved in every surgery varies between one procedure and the other, and thus, different methods of anesthetizing are required. The type of anesthesia administered is determined based on your preferences in terms of personal pain threshold and comfort.

For non-invasive surgeries, topical anesthetic is used, while minor invasive surgeries require local anesthetic sometimes combined with sedation. As for invasive surgeries, they call for general anesthesia.
